Welcome to BaseNets 2006 at San Jose, CA

Co-sponsored by

The emergence, adoption, and ubiquity of broadband wired and wireless networking technologies offer exciting new possibilities for high-bandwidth sensing and actuation applications. Rich modality sensors, such as video, acoustic, and motion capturing devices, connected through broadband networks can deliver unparalleled experiences for scientific discoveries, surveillance, monitoring and control, and entertainment.

The third International Workshop on Broadband Advanced Sensor Networks (BASENETS) will continue the success of the previous workshops to serve as a forum for academic, industrial, and government researchers to present and discuss new research results in the field of high-datarate sensors, broadband sensing and advanced sensor networks.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

The workshop proceedings will be published by IEEE and indexed by IEEE Xplore. The best papers of this workshop will be considered for possible publication in the ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks.
